News for your Astoria Library Friends Association

To all ALFAs and other friends:

Happy Friends of Libraries Week!

Please join us by donating either online here or by filling out a form at the library on Bookshop days.

We are excited to announce that we are now on Instagram as well as Facebook, thanks to our new media volunteer, Alice.

We would love for you to help us spread the word of our activities by searching for Astoria Library Friends and LIKING us! If you have trouble finding our pages, please go click on the Facebook and Instagram logo buttons.

And thanks to our many patrons and avid book buyers, we had a hugely successful Tricks & Treats bag of books sale this past Saturday. Look for future announcements of the pre-Christmas sale of coffee table and better gift books.

Due to the success of the weekend sale, we again have room to accept book donations, but please try to limit what you bring to just a few boxes or bags. We have only a tiny storage room for storing, sorting, and cataloging what come in.

The Bookshop inside the library is open Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10:30 to 2:30 where you will be greeted by one of our wonderful volunteers.
